Who you’re buying from
Collie is made and sold by kcygan.dev Kacper Cygan, ul. Kamila Stefki 8, 52-428 Wrocław, Poland. NIP 8943149903, EU VAT PL8943149903. You can reach me at kacper@getcollie.cloud.
What you get
- Collie for Mac, a writing app, for a one-time payment of $19 plus VAT where it applies. Checkout shows the exact total, tax included, before you pay.
- A license key, shown right after checkout and sent to your email.
- Free updates forever. Every future version of Collie for Mac is included. No subscription, no upgrade fees.
- Collie runs on Macs with Apple silicon and macOS 12 or later.
Your license
- You can use Collie for personal or commercial work.
- The key is for you. Use it on any Macs you use yourself. Please don’t share it publicly, resell it, or give it to other people. Each person needs their own key.
- Collie works offline. When you first paste your key, Collie checks it once with getcollie.cloud.
- A refunded key is withdrawn. I may also withdraw a key that was charged back, or bought fraudulently, or one that has been published for anyone to use.
- The app, its code and its design stay mine. Your documents are yours, always.
Instant delivery and your right of withdrawal
Under EU consumer law you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content like Collie, that right ends once delivery starts with your express consent. At checkout you ask for Collie to be delivered right away and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once it is. The key email confirms this.
14-day refund guarantee
I offer a voluntary full refund for 14 days after purchase anyway, no questions asked, even after you’ve downloaded and activated Collie. Request it yourself with your purchase email or license key: you get a one-time link, and the refund is issued when you confirm. The money goes back to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 days, and you get a credit note for your invoice. When the refund is issued your license ends and the key is withdrawn. See the refund policy.
No warranty
I work hard to make Collie reliable and to keep your writing safe, but it’s provided “as is”. Please keep backups of anything important. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the law, including the right to digital content that works as described.
If you buy as a business, my total liability is limited to what you paid for Collie, except where the law doesn’t allow such a limit (for example, for intent or gross negligence).
Law
These terms are governed by Polish law. If you’re a consumer in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live, and you can go to your local courts. If something goes wrong, write to me first. I’d much rather fix it.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version applies to purchases made after the change. The license you already bought keeps the terms you bought it under, including free updates forever.
